Hessisches Kammerorchester Frankfurt (Chamber Orchestra)

Founded: 1957 - Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany

The Hessisches Kammerorchester Frankfurt (Frankfurter Kammerorchester, Hessisches Kammerorchester Frankfurt, Hessisches Kammerorchester Frankfurt/M, Hessisches Kammerorchester Frankfurt/M., Chamber Music Orchestra of Frankfurt) was founded by Siegfried Heinrich in 1957. The orchestra, consisting of instrumental soloists and concert masters, was dedicated to furthering the works of J.S. Bach. Their repertoire, however, encompassed works from the Renaissance up to contemporary compositions. In addition to numerous guesting appearances in Germany and abroad, the ensemble has made several recordings for the record industry as well as for radio and television.
