Concentus Musicum de Belo Horizonte, conceived by the conductor Iara Fricke Matte, is a vocal and instrumental group dedicated to the interpretation and dissemination of Colonial, Baroque, Classical and Renaissance works, as well as a select contemporary repertoire. The Coro Sinfônico Concentus began in December 2016 performing with the renowned Orquestra Filarmônica de Minas Gerais, at Sala Minas Gerais.
Today Concentus is made up of three distinct musical formations, two choral and one orchestral, the result of a partnership between the conductor, musicians and pianist and organist Hélcio Vaz, an active musician today.
The interpretive work is focused on understanding the musical discourse and its intrinsic relationship with the poetic text, the sonority, articulation and rhythm of the words, and also with the historical context of the works.
The musicians who participate in Concentus are united by the desire to experience and disseminate classical music through different projects, in order to bring music to a wide and diverse audience. |

Madrigal Concentus Musicum is a vocal group made up of selected singers and is dedicated to the interpretation and dissemination of works from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical periods - periods synthesized today under the name of "early music" - as well as selected works from the 20th century and contemporary repertoire. Madrigal Concentus Musicum is the result of a partnership between conductor Iara Fricke Matte and pianist and organist from Minas Gerais Hélcio Vaz; its assistant conductor is maestro Lucas Viana. |

Orquestra Barroca Concentus Musicum |

Orquestra Barroca Concentus Musicum is dedicated to the practice of early music with historically grounded interpretations and the use of copies of period instruments. This allows for a closer approximation of the sound and aesthetics for which, most likely, this repertoire was conceived. Conducted by conductor Iara Fricke Matte, the ensemble features spalla player & violinist Letizia Roa and violinist Juliano Buosi, both specialists in early music. |
