Ensemble Arione (Vocal & Instrumnental Ensemble)

Founded: 2011 - Italy

The vocal g& instrumental group Ensemble Arione, whose name is inspired by the mythological figure of the homonymous musician instead, known for his ability to play the lyre • was founded in 2011 by Luigi Marzola.

The vast repertoire of the ensemble includes pieces for both mixed and exclusively female voices, giving rise to specific projects such as:
• "Tourjours à toi, Segnieur" - French sacred music from Gounod to Poulenc - music by Charles Gounod, Camille Saint-Saëns, L. Delibes, Gabriel Fauré, C. Debussy, Francis Poulenc
• "La grande scuola poticorale italianí" - Motets by G. Gabnrili and Stabat Mater by D. Scarlatti for 10 voices and b.c.
• "Il Motetto mariano dal Rinascimento al Novecento" - music by C. Gesualdo da Venosa. G. Aichinger, R. Dering, Johann Pachelbel, D. Scarlatti, J.G. Albrechtsberger, G. Rosssini, F. Schubert, Igor StravinskyFrancis Poulenc.

Among the masterpieces of Baroque sacred music The Motets for 8 and 10 voices by A. & G. Gabrieli and Io Stabat Mater by D. Scarlatti for 10 voices and b.c.
Among the recordings, the volume "Musica sacra nella Napoli del '700" for the Tactus label (2006).
The next projects are focused on female voices, both a cappella and with piano, deepening authors such as Zoltán Kodály, F. Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, J. Massenet, C. Debussy. Francis Poulenc, H.HA Beach.
