Thierry Merle (Choral Conductor)

Born: France

The French choral conductor, Thierry Merle, obtained his diploma from the Institut de Musique Sacrée and worked in choir conducting with Charles Montaland, then with Philippe Fournier and Carlos Dourthé.

In 1981, Thierry Merle founded the Ensemble Polyphonie de la Valloire, which he quickly directed towards the production of programs with orchestra and soloists. Today the Ensemble Vocal et Instrumental du Dauphiné, the choir attracts demanding singers, attracted by a quality program, which ranges from pre-classical to contemporary works, with a strong attachment to great Baroque works.

Author of Le Miracle Erato, a work widely distributed in musical circles in France and Japan, Thierry Merle is also official editor of Warner's productions for French musical works and for French musicians.
