L'Offrande Musicale (Vocal & Instrumental Ensemble)

Born: 1984 - Belgium

Founded in 1984 by Guy Janssens, the vocal and instrumental ensemble L'Offrande Musicale (= LOM) is composed of a score of young professional instrumentalists having received a training specialised in practice of period instruments, and of about thirty chorus-singers who continue a thorough vocal training.

LOM has given numerous concerts in Belgium (several performances at the Palais des Beaux-Arts of Brussels, at Singel in Antwerp, in many churches, a cycle of J.S. Bach's Cantatas at the Chapelle Royale), as well as several concerts in foreign countries (Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, festival of Cluny in France, Cathedral of Dijon, tour in Czechoslovakia, etc…)

LOM currently specializes in the interpretation of the repertoire of the 18th century on period instruments. The orchestra and the chorus form a homogeneous group animates same spirit of musical and human quality, seeking a unity.
