Eric Jennings (Trombone)

Born: England

The English trombonist, Eric Jennings, learned the violin in his childhood. On studying at the Royal College of Music he switched to playing the trombone. In the early 1960's he joined the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra where he stayed for 31 years as principal trombone player (1963/1964-1994). Upon retiring he returned to his first love by playing the violin again - just for his own pleasure. He was also director of the Liverpool Brass Ensemble.
