The Japanese choral conductor and bass singer, Hitoshi Imaizumi [Japanese: 生 ま れ ], graduated from Osaka College of Music (1977-1984). He graduated from the Osaka College of Music Graduate School of Singing (1984 1986).
Hitoshi Imaizumi as a soloist and ensemble singer as a member of representative Baroque professional organizations in Japan, such as the Teleman Chamber Choir. Mainly works in the high Baroque period, he has been active in the main repertoire from singing of early Baroque, Renaissance and folk music to vocal works in the classical period.
Hitoshi Imaizumi has worked on Irish traditional songs since 1993 and started working with Irish traditional music performers. In 2003, he held a recital with all Bach's sacred solo cantatas for bass with early music musicians living in Kansai. The following year, in 2004, he organized a “Workshop on Five Voices” series with vocalists of other genres, including folk music, Japanese folk songs, and Kyogen, in a six-part series. He presides over projects based on the concept of fusion of "East and West of the West" and "Tradition and Records", and often plays with other genres, such as folk music instruments and singing. In the a cappella vocal ensemble "Taco-taco singers", he also started working with Banshu-related singers. He has also released CD's focusing on Japanese songs. He is also a choral conductor, focusing on Renaissance and Baroque works. |
