This young ensemble FBach was formed in 2011 from a call on Facebook to perform the Mass in B minor (BWV 232) by J.S. Bach. In FBach amateurs, conservatory students and professional singers and musicians collaborate on performances at high level. This creates a unique collaboration where everyone inspires and motivates each other. Passion for making music together is what drives FBach, who wants FBach enthusiasm spread to the widest possible audience. Through social media like Facebook, Twitter and SMS/whatsapp the public during the concert share their experiences with other enthusiastic visitors or at home. Hence the motto 'Passie voor passie' (Passion for passion).
Central to the programming of FBach is the music of J.S. Bach. But the passion of FBach not limited to the music of this master alone. The whole history of music from the 17th century to present belongs to the repertoire of FBach. From this inexhaustible source FBach performs larger and smaller works for various ensembles, large-scale oratorios for soloists, choir and orchestra to intimate compositions for a-cappella vocal ensemble.
