Ensemble de Musique Baroque Da Camera (Vocal & Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: Auvergne, France

The Ensemble de Musique Baroque Da Camera (= EMBDC) rings together around twenty amateur and professional musicians from the Auvergne region, driven by the pleasure of sharing their passion for Baroque music. With more than 40 years of experience, this ensemble, whose reputation is well established, explored musical territories from the Baroque to the contemporary with equal happiness, illustrated in December 2012 in a remarkable recreation of Vespers by Monterverdi and recording Lotti's Requiem in an interpretation full of sensitivity and depth. This ensemble, which is expanding according to the programs with instrumentalists playing on old instruments (Baroque violins and cello, viola da gamba, theorbo, harpsichord) has been conducted since February 2013 by Catherine Roussot.
