The Amersfoorts Cantatekoor (Amersfoort Cantata Choir) consists of approximately thirty regular singers. They are expected to have a good singing voice, which moreover fits in with the chorus sound, can read pages smoothly and have extensive experience as a choir singers. They study the parts independently at home. For each cantata performance there are two choral rehearsals (the Friday evenings before the performance), a tutti and a general rehearsal (Saturday afternoon of the performance).
Permanent choir singers pay a contribution of € 30 per year. When permanent choir singers are unable to attend, invaders are invited because of the desired balance in the choir. |
