Georg Ephraim Richter (Bach's Pupil)

Born: May 19, 1721 - Pouch, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany
Died: not determined

Georg Ephraim Richter was born the son of Georg Gottfried Richter (Pastor in Pouch). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on October 17, 1735; studied there from 1735 to 1740, since May 27, 1734 already as external; and at Universität Leipzig from 1740. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him.
