The Malaysian soprano and pianist, Esther Ting (Chinese: 陳卓瑩), received her Associate Piano Performance Diploma (2009) from Trinity College of London and Licentiate Jazz Piano Performance (2010) from International Music Examination Board, Australia. She is currently a vocal performance student at Roberts Wesleyan College in New York State, where she studies under Professor Constance Fee. She has recently been awarded the Presser Scholar Award by Roberts Wesleyan College for her excellent performance in music and her contributions to the music department.
Besides appearing as a piano soloist in public, Esther Ting is also the accompanist of Roberts Wesleyan College Chorale as well as the cantor of Arbor House Free Methodist Church in Batavia, New York. Recent highlights include appearing as guest soloist and vocal coach of East Malaysia Sacred Music Youth Choir Camp, chamber singer of East Malaysia Bach Cantatas Lecture Concert Tour, and assistant conductor of Kenaniah Youth Festival Choir and Kenaniah Adult Choir. Repertoire of past performances include W.A. Mozart’s Coronation Mass, L.v. Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, John Rutter’s Gloria, Finzi’s In Terra Pax and George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. |
