Mikhail Seryshev (Tenor)

Born: June 14, ____ - Ulan-Ude, East Siberia, Russia.

The Russian tenor, Mikhail Seryshev [Russian: Михаил Серышев], graduated from the Gnessin State Musical College (training course of V. Aleksandrova) by specialty “Academic singing” (1974-1978).

From 1982 to 1989 Mikhail Seryshev was working in the Moscow region philharmonic as a soloist, then almost for 10 years was performing in the choir of the Archangel Michael Moscow church.

In 1999 Mikhail Seryshev became a soloist of the Moscow musical theatre Helikon-Opera, where he made his debut in the part of Astrologer (The Golden Cockerel by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov). On the Helikon-Opera stage he has impersonated more than 30 parts, among which there are: Astrologer (The Golden Cockerel by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Triquet (Eugene Onegin by P.I. Tchaikovsky), Bomeliy (The Tsar's Bride by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Truffaldino (The Love for Three Oranges by S.S. Prokofiev), Spalanzani (Les contes d’Hoffmann by J. Offenbach), Ponzio Pilato (Das Liebesverbot by R. Wagner), Count Hauk-Šendorf (Věc Makropulos by L. Janáček), Dr Blind (Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss), Tattered peasant (Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District by Dmitri Shostakovich), The Emperor Altoum (Turandot by G. Puccini), Gastone (La traviata by G. Verdi), Chaplitsky (The Queen of Spades by P.I. Tchaikovsky) etc. He is a regular participant of the numerous Helikon-opera tours in Russia and abroad.

With the great success Mikhail Seryshev was performing in Bolshoi theatre’s productions: Astrologer (The Golden Cockerel by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Dr Blind (Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss), Payísy (The Enchantress by P.I. Tchaikovsky). HAe currently lives in Moscow, Russia.
