Friedl Riegler (Soprano, Mezzo-soprano)

Born: Austria

The Austrian soprano/mezzo-soprano, Fiedl Riegler [Frieda Riegler; Elfriede Riegler (Myers)], was a member of the Wiener Staatsoperchor and of Wiener Singverein in the late 1940's - early 1950's. Her discography includes: Julius Bittner's Der Musikant conducted by Felix Prohaska (1949); Alban Berg's Lulu conducted by Herbert Häfner (1949); Carl Maria von Weber's Euryanthe conducted by Meinhard von Zallinger (1949); W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte conducted by Herbert von Karajan (1950); Richard Strauss' Elektra conducted by Dimitri Mitropoulos (1950); Joseph Haydn's Die Schöpfung conducted by Clemens Krauss (1951); G. Puccini's La Rondine (in German) conducted by Richard Kraus (1952); Julius Bittner's Der Bergsee conducted by Felix Prohaska (1953); Richard Wagner's Rienzi conducted by Robert Heger (1953); Antonín Dvořák's Rusalka conducted by Felix Prohaska (1954); Eugen d'Albert's Tiefland conducted by Rudolf Moralt (1954); Johann Strauss' Der Zigeunerbaron conducted by Rudolf Moralt (1954).
