Andrés Ramírez Román (Tenor)

Born: Colombia

The Colombian tenor, Andrés Ramírez Román, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Singing in the class of maestro Juan David Rojas at the Escuela de Música de la Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas in Bogotá, Colombia. Currently, he studies for his Master of Music degree in the class of Robert Swensen at the Eastman School of Music, Univesity of Rochester, New York (since 2020; expected graduation: 2023).

Andrés Ramírez Román participated in the 2013 and 2014 Ópera al Parque festivals, as a member of the choir in the opera Muerte accidental de un anarquista with arrangements by maestro Jorge Humberto Pinzón, and as a soloist in The Goose Girl by Thomas Pasatieri. He is Winner of the VII Festival de Música de Cámara of Barranquilla, 2017. At Eastman, he participated as a soloist in Eastman School of Music: Bach Cantata Series (BWV 65, February 2022); and in Bravo Nights at the Little Cafe with Opera Guild of Rochester (April 2022).
