Ana Cristina Vicente Pimpinela (Soprano)

Born: Spain

The Spanish soprano and music/voice teacher, Ana Cristina Vicente Pimpinela (Pimpi), has Master in Management of Cultural Policies and Projects Universidad de Zaragoza (Class of 2010). She obtained a higher degree in Musicology from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (Class of 2006); and her Master of Music degree in Interpretation of Early Music from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (2016-2017). She trained with professors David Mason, Lambert Climent, Salvador Parrons and Jordi Domènech. She has also attended singing master-classes with Cristina Miatello, Joan Cabero, Jesús Quílez, Alexander Ashworth, José Hernández Pastor, Alicia Amo and Marta Mateu.

Ana Cristina Vicente Pimpinela has played the leading roles in works such as Acis and Galatea (Thisbe) by A. Literes, Catone in Utica (Marcia) by Antonio Vivaldi, The Indian Queen (Zempoalla) by H. Purcell, Gli amori d'Apollo e di Dafne (Procri) by F. Cavalli, Las Edades de la Mujer (electro-acoustic opera) by Óscar Escudero, Requiem by W.A. Mozart, Carmina Burana by C. Orff, Requiem by Gabriel Fauré, Carmina Burana by Orff, Pimpinone (Vespetta) by Georg Philipp Telemann, Orfeo (Music and Ninfa) by Monteverdi, and a diverse chamber music repertoire in venues and festivals such as the Teatro Principal de Burgos, Parador de Segovia, Fábrica Fabra i Coats, Auditorio de Zaragoza, Auditorio de Guadalajara, Auditorio de Las Rozas, Auditorio de Tres Cantos, Festival de Música Antigua de Sevilla, Auditorio Campo de Marte de Tarragona, Royal Academy of Music in London, Festival de Música del Camino de Santiago, Festival de Música Antigua de Antequera, Ciclo de Arte Sacro de la Comunidad de Madrid, Palacio de Congresos de Huesca, Festival de Experimentación Sonora Tesla de León, Museo Pablo Serrano de Zaragoza, Museo de la Música de Barcelona, Festival Otoño Musical Soriano, Teatro Gaztambide de Tudela and Auditori de Barcelona, as a soloist or as part of groups such as Los Músicos de Su Alteza, El Parnaso Español (July 2018), El Trovar de los Afectos (since 2006), Ariadna Ensemble, Vocalia Taldea, Opera Baroque Studio the Fònics.

Ana Cristina Vicente Pimpinela has been part of the Chiavette polyphony quartet since its founding (January 2016-August 2018) and of Enchiriadis Grupo Vocal Femenino (since September 2007), Premio Nacional de Canto Coral (Director: Jorge Apodaca). She has recorded the work Setiembre by the composer Luis Pedro Bráviz (Mátrix Sonora/Enchiriadis), the work Ignominia by the composer Ralph Killhertz for its premiere at the Medialab Prado in Madrid in collaboration with the Asociación de Música Electroacústica y Arte Sonoro de España and the integral for equal voices by Eva Ugalde with the Alaia Ensemble (Director: Daniel de la Puente).
In November 2018, she became part of the Renaissance music and dance company "El Canto de las Vihuelas".

Ana Cristina Vicente Pimpinela has taught music/singing at Universidad de Zaragoza in Huesca (September 2008-September 2011); Universidad de la Experiencia in Aragón (January 2009-2012); Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Soria (September 2011-September 2013); Conservatorio Profesional de Música Oreste Camarca in Soria (September 2013-October 2016); Escuela de Música y Educación Vocal Eugenia Echarren (May-June 2018); Ayuntamiento de Ribaforada (since October 2018).
