The German tenor, Nils Ole Peters, studied music education,singing pedagogy and opera singing at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover.
Nils Ole Peters also performs as a soloist (baritone) regularly concerts and recitals in the popular and classical area. As a guest he was already engaged in various theaters, so he sang in the 2001-2002 season at the Lower Niedersächsischen Staatstheater Hannover. Recordings with Gustav Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen are available from NDR. With the a-cappella group MAYBEBOP, of which he was a founding member, he was one of the winners of the 1999 John Lennon Talent Award.
From 1997 to 2003, Nils Ole Peters worked as a synchronizer for children's programs (including the Sesame Street). He contributed as a soloist to the CD "Glaubenslieder", which was awarded the Echo Klassik in 2010. As vocal coach, he was in charge of the LandesJugendChor NiederSachsen from 1999 to 2003; since 2002 he has worked in the same role with the Knabenchor Hannover.
In 2003 he began teaching in the acting department of the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover. From 2005 to 2011 he also taught at the Department of Church Music of the Hochschule der Künste in Bremen. Since the end of 2008, he is also vocal coach of Messias-Kantorei Hannover. In 2007, he accepted the invitation to a master-class for singing to Santiago de Chile. He regularly gives voice training workshops for classical and popular music choirs. |
