Katharina van Nahmen (Soprano, Choral Conductor)

Born: Germany

The German soprano and choral conductor, Katharina van Nahmen, studied first music education and later singing at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule Düsseldorf. She also owes important vocal developments to her participation in master-classes with Professor Kurt Widmer, Professor Thomas Heyer and Professor Konrad Jarnot, among others.

As a member of Ensemble 415, Katharina van Nahmen is also experienced as an interpreter in the field of early music and also works as an enthusiastic vocal instructor, singing teacher and choral conductor. She is director of Kammerchor Cantiamo Mönchengladbach. She currently lives in Cologne, Germany.
