The Neues Barockorchester Berlin (= New Baroque Orchestra Berlin; NBOB) was founded in 2008 and works on a project-oriented basis with a repertoire ranging from Renaissance and early Baroque to early Romantic.
Even unusual and rarely performed works are revived by the NBOB - such as the Christmas Oratorio by Antonio Casimiro Cartellieri (1772-1807) in the Berlin premiere entrusted to the orchestra. The NBOB performs regularly in concert halls in Berlin and other venues (including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Konzerthaus Berlin) in Germany.
The NBOB is a permanent partner of various choirs and conductors and develops its own Programs. In addition to their work in the orchestra, the members also perform as soloists of the NBOB in chamber music formations, both in Germany and abroad. Only recently, a concert tour took the artists to Turkey. |
