Tiago Mota (Bass)

Born: June 16, 1979 - Lisbon, Portugal

The Portuguese bass, Tiago Daniel Mota, studied singing at the Conservatório Nacional Escola Artística de Música in Lisbon and worked there with the Gulbenkian Choir and the Officium Ensemble. Since 2007 he lives in Basel, where he completed a master's degree at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.

Tiago Mota is currently collaborating with the Basler Madrigalisten (Director: Fritz Näf), Choeur de Chambre de Namur (Director: Jean Tubéry), Musica Fiorita (Director: Daniela Dolci) and Huelgas Ensemble. In addition, he appears both as a soloist and in theater productions, such as CapriConnection, and participated in several CD recordings.
