Dániel Mentes (Counter-tenor)

Born: 1992 -Szombathely, Hungary

The Hungarian counter-tenor, Dániel Mentes, began his musical studies at the age of 8 with the trumpet, which he played for more than 10 years. In 2012 he moved to Leipzig, Germany, to study historical singing with Marek Rzepka at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Since September 2015 he is studying Bachelor in Arts at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel, Switzerland) with Professor Gerd Türk. At this same institution, he often has the opportunity to participate in voice master-classes with renowned names such as Andreas Scholl, Emma Kirkby and Paul Triepels.
