The German soprano, Bettina Meiners, studies singing at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg since 2015. Having started her studies in PreCollege, she pursued her bachelor’s degree with mezzo-soprano Professor Kammersängerin Elisabeth Wilke. Since October 2019 she has been studying for a master’s degree with the well-known soprano Professor Barbara Bonney. She was a laureate at the Duschk Singing Competition 2019 organized by the Czech Mozart Community in Prague.
Bettina Meiners gained her first opera experiences in 2017 as Due Donne in Le nozze di Figaro by W.A. Mozart and in 2018 in A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Benjamin Britten both in productions at the Mozarteum University. In addition to opera, she has a great passion for Lied. She is currently studying Lied Interpretation with the Finnish professor Pauliina Tukiainen. In summer 2018, she and the Dresden pianist Jobst Schneiderat designed a recital in the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Haus on Hiddensee.
As a member and soloist of the Collegium Vocale Salzburg of the Salzburg Bach Society (Director: Albert Hartinger), Bettina Meiners played with well-known ensembles such as L'Orfeo Barockorchester (Director: Michi Gaigg), La Divina Armonia (Director: Lorenzo Ghielmi) and the Salzburger Barockensemble (Directors: Alfredo Bernardini and Jörn Hinnerk Andresen) and the Neue Hofkapelle München (Director: Alfredo Bernardini).
Bettina Meiners performed further concerts as a soprano soloist in collaboration with the Münchener Bach-Chor and Münchener Bach-Orchester (Director: Hansjörg Albrecht), the Isar Philharmonic Orchestra (Director: Wolfram Graul), with the Oratorienchor Würzburg and the L'Orfeo Barockorchester
as well as the Cappella Musica Dresden (Director: Helmut Branny).
In addition, Bettina Meiners performed as a soloist at well-known festivals such as Musik und Kirche (Sterzing), the Musiksommer between Inn and Salzach (Kloster Seeon), the concert series Musik in fränkischen Schlösser and in the concert series Meisterinterpreten Dippoldiswalde. |
