Negar Mehravaran (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: Spain

The Spanish mezzo-soprano, Negar Mehravaran, studied singing-profile composition at the Arturo Soria Professional Music Conservatory where she won numerous awards and honours. In 2009 she began her higher studies of music in the specialty of Concert and Oratorio at the School of Singing in Madrid while doing numerous master-classes, summer courses and workshops such as: Dolora Zajick Master-class vocal technique at the ESCM (Madrid ), Anne Sofie von Otter Master-class for singing and piano at Schymbergsgården (Sweden), Wolfram Rieger Master-class at Lied for duos at ESMUC (Barcelona), Helmut Deutch German summer course at Lied (Madrid) and Lied course and song at Mozarteum (Salzburg), Christian Immler Master-class of Baroque oratorio (Würzburg), Dalton Baldwin Masterclass of Mélodie Française, etc.

Negar Mehravaran was a member of the Young Choir of the Community of Madrid and subsequently collaborated with the Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid. In 2010 she was admitted to the Orquesta Sinfónica y Coro de RTVE where she was a regular contributor for three seasons. Since 2013 she is a member of the National Choir of Spain. As a soloist, she has worked under the baton of Michel Plasson, Carlos Kalmar, Masaaki Suzuki, David Afkham among others, as well as collaborations with different orchestras, ensembles and ancient music groups
