Elionor Martínez (Soprano)

Born: Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain

The Spanish soprano, Elionor Martínez Lara, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Singing from the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu, where she studied with with Professor Dolors Aldea, thanks to the support of the Fundació Ferrer-Salat, which provided her with a scholarship for her entire schooling. She won the Bach Scholarship - Fundació Salvat 2016, awarded by the Fundació Bach Zum Mitsingen (BZM) Barcelona. She took part in the 3rd Concurs de Cant Josep Palet de Martorell (2019), where she won four special prizes, ​​one of them awarded by the Victoria de los Ángeles foundation. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Music Performance at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel with Professor Marcel Boone, under the patronage of the Salvat Foundation.

As a soloist Elionor Martínez has performed George Frideric Handel's Messiah, W.A. Mozart's Requiem and Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, J.S. Bach's Magnificat (BWV 243) and several cantatas. She has also appeared as soloist in opera productions, such as Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Cimarosa's Il convito, W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte and Rossini's La Cenerentola. She has sung with the Bremer Philharmoniker, under the direction of Hermes Helfricht, and has given a concert at this year’s BACHcelona: Festival Bach de Barcelona.

In the choral field, Elionor Martínez regularly sings in La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Director: Jordi Savall), Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe), and Ensemble O Vos Omnes (Director: Xavier Pastrana). She has also sung with Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana,, under the direction of Simon Halsey and Xavier Puig, and with Musica Ficta, conducted by Raúl Mallavibarrena.
