Orkiestra Barokowa Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie (Baroque Orchestra)

Founded: 2008 - Kraków, Poland

The Orkiestra Barokowa Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie was was established in 2008 on the initiative of Professor Elżbieta Stefańska. The Orchestra brings together students and graduates interested in performing early music on period instruments. It performs Baroque and early classicism repertoire. It actively participates in projects organized by the university, including the "Dni Bachowskich" (Bach Days, Krakow), inviting great artists such as Peter Holtslag, Joshua Rifkin and Paul Esswood to co-operate.
