Laura Incko (Soprano)

Born: May 17, ____ - Munich, Bavaria, Germany

The German soprano. Laura Verena Incko, studied singing since 2014 at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg with the tenor Christoph Strehl and completed her Master of Music degree in Lied with the well-known pianist Helmut Deutsch and Pauliina Tukiainen. She is a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes München and the Gstaad Vocal Academy.

While still a student Laura Incko made her debut at the Salzburg Whitsun Festival as Albina in Rossini's La donna del Lago alongside Cecilia Bartoli. This was followed by guest appearances at the Nationaltheater Mannheim (since February 2018) as Virtù and Pallas Athene in Monteverdi's L' incoronazione di Poppea and Papagena in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, as well as her Japan debut with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra under Jonathan Nott as Barbarina in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro.

In addition to opera, Laura Incko also has a great passion for the Lied. She was a prize-winner at the Richard Strauss Competition under the direction of Kammersängerin Brigitte Fassbaender in Munich and gave numerous recitals at home and abroad. As part of her work as a concert singer, she was a guest at the Cadogan Hall in London as well as at the Mozart Festival in Würzburg and the Philharmonie im Gasteig. She also gave concerts as a soprano soloist in collaboration with the Stuttgarter Bachakademie under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann, the Münchener Bach-Chor under Hansjörg Albrecht and at the Kölner Philharmonie with the Hofkapelle München and its director Rüdiger Lotter.

From June 2018 to 2020, Laura Incko was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Coburg, where she played Pamina in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Julia de Weert in Der Vetter aus Dingsda by Eduard Künneke, as well as Wellgunde in Richard Wagner's Das Rheingold and Adele in Johann Strauss' Die Fledermaus. Laura Incko has been a member of the ensemble of the Salzburger Landestheater since the 2020-2021 season (August 2020), where she is again as Pamina and in the title role of Cinderella by Alma Deutscher, as Najade in Richard Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, as Micaela in Georges Bizet's Carmen and as Angel in Péter Eötvö's modern opera Angels in America. She currently lives in Salzburg, Auastria.
