Olga Dubois (Soprano)

Born: Ekaterinburg, Russia

The Russian bor soprano, Olga Dubois, was exposed to music from her childhood. From 6 to 16 years old, she was part of the Ural Philharmonic Choir, with which she gave concerts in China, Austria, Romania, Sweden. The all-female choir wins a multitude of international competitions. At the age of 17, she specialized in classical singing by joining the class of Mrs Nadejda Kuteneva, professor at the Ural State Conservatory of Ekateringburg. In 2007, she attended Elena Obraztsova's master-class in Saint Petersburg, recognized among the greatest singers of her time for her stage presence and vocal abilities. She won the Odessa Classical Singing Competition (Ukraine) in 2003, as well as the Russian Romance and Song competition in Ekateringburg (Russia) in 2001, 2003 and 2005.

Since 2004 and the start of her professional career in IT consulting and project management, after studying engineering at Ural Federal University (2000-2005), Olga Dubois continues to perform on stage regularly. Arriving in Belgium for professional reasons, she sang at the Brussels Parliament, at Studio 4 of Flagey with the Brussels Sinfonietta where she staged Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, at the Festival of Russian Culture… She was invited in 2015 to the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne (France) where she performed arias from operas by Puccini, George Frideric Handel, Verdi, Bellini and Dvorak.

Olga Dubois' repertoire includes opera and oratorio arias, lieder and melodies, as well as religious music. She is particularly fond of the tradition of late Russian Romanticism; she also sings in Latin, Russian, Italian, German, French, and English. She currently lives in Brussels, Belgium.
