The German soprano soprano and qualified music teacher, Nina Romy Dörfler, studied singing in the class of Gabriele Czerepan von Ulmann and piano as a second subject with Dagmar Groth at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg. There she received, among other things, coaching from Werner Dörmann, acting lessons from Marsha Cox, Kathrin Wittenberg and Marita Kral, speech training from Sibrand Basa, and methodology from Ute Büttner. Finally, she earned her diploma in artistic and music education with the grade “very good” and an award. Master-classes with Hanno Blaschke, Margreet Honig, Edda Moser, Klesie Kelly-Moog and Barbara Bonney followed. She received a grant from the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes for her artistic work in 1999.
Early on Nina Romy Dörfler took part in opera projects, in which she performed the roles of Adele in Die Fledermaus, Lauretta in Gianni Schicci, Gretel in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel und Gretel, Celidora in the W.A. Mozart incomplete opera L'oca del Cairo and Pamina in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. She sang the latter part at the Mozart Festival in Cyprus, among others. She currently gives concerts regularly with her ensembles "Trio Musica Beata", "Duo CantaeCanna" and "Trio Viva Cantilena". In the concert field she is not only active in Germany but also abroad. She has performed at the Karlskirche in Vienna and at St. Estache in Paris, among others. Her most successful concert roles include Haydn's The Creation and The Seasons, George Frideric Handel's Messiah, J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) and Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248).
As a coloratura soprano, Nina Romy Dörfler' focus is on roles such as W.A. Mozart's Exultate jubilate and J.S. Bach’s solo cantata Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen (BWV 51), which she has performed several times with well-known orchestras such as the Bamberger Symphoniker, Nürnberger Symphoniker and Nürnberger Philharmonie.
As part of her educational work, Nina Romy Dörfler holds a teaching position for singing at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität in Bamberg and gives private singing and piano lessons. She has also had several successes with her students at "Jugend musiziert" and for entrance exams at music colleges. |
