Stuart Dameron (Bass, Choral Conductor)

Born: February 21, 1986 - Parker, near Denver, Colorado, USA

The American bass, choral conductor and music educator, Stuart Dameron, earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (2004-2009) and his Master’s degree in Choral Conducting (2009-2011) from Colorado State University, studying under Dr. James Kim and Professor Cynthia Vaughn. He earned his Doctor of Music Arts in Choral Conducting with a Minor in Vocal Pedagogy from Louisiana State University (Class of 2020), studying voice under Dr. Loraine Sims,

Stuart Dameron is a regularly sought-after singer, conductor, director, clinician, vocal instructor, music educator, and performer. He is an active choral singer and soloist who has performed in over thirty concert solo engagements with distinguished choral ensembles throughout the state including the Vittoria Ensemble in Denver (also Associate Artistic Director: August 2011-May 2012), Anima Chamber Ensemble, Colorado Bach Ensemble, and Fort Collins Opera. He has performed over a dozen leading theatrical roles on the stage with Opera Fort Collins, CSU Opera Theater, Opera On Tap, and others, and has performed and toured with choirs around the world, including in England, South Korea, Germany and the Czech Republic. In June 2012 he participated in the inaugural performance of the Colorado Bach Ensemble and since then he has been a proud member and featured soloist.

Stuart Dameron has served as Assistant Choral Director at First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins, Colorado (2005-2011); Private Voice Instructor at Magnolia Music Studio in Fort Collins (2008-2011); Graduate Teaching Assistant at Colorado State University in Fort Collins (July 2009-May 2011); Associate Director of Choirs at Fort Collins High School (July 2012-May 2013); Music Director at Addenbrooke Classical Academy in Lakewood, Colorado (July 2013-May 2014); Adjunct Instructor at Colorado State University (July 2014-May 2017); Graduate Teaching Assistant at LSU School of Music in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (July 2017-May 2020); Director of Music Ministry at University Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge (September 2017-July 2020); Director of Traditional Worship at South Suburban Christian Church in Littleton, Colorado (since July 2021-Present). He currently lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
