Francisco Coronado (Baritone)

Born: San Luis Potosí, Mexico

The Mexican baritone, Francisco Coronado, began his singing studies with Martha Graciela Negrete Moreno in the Bel Canto studio in 2006, at the same time as part of the Coro Domus Cantorum de la Universidad Politécnica de San Luis potosí, as a chorus boy he participated in the Beatles Coral, addressed works such as Tres Epitafios by Rodolfo Halffter, participated in the eleventh university singing contest reaching the semifinal stage and as a soloist performing Ariel Ramírez's Misa Criolla, tenor solo in W.A. Mozart's Coronation Mass, W.A. Mozart's Great Mass in C minor; he played the role of Don José in a didactic adaptation of Georges Bizet's opera Carmen at the Teatro de la Paz and sang as a chorister once more in the 4th movement of L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, selections from the George Frideric Handel's Messiah as well as a cappella repertoire of Mexican music and Christmas carols, interpretation of liturgical pieces.

He participated in various workshops on vocal improvement by Linus Lerner; he also participated in the celebration of the bicentennial of the birth of the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi with a gala of his most famous operas in the gallery of the Instituto Potosino de Bellas Artes, offered a concert of Sacred Arias in the Museo de la Máscara next to the tenor Jorge Arturo Torres Ruiz; also in the same museum he participated in a Lied concert in the centenary room of said enclosure; he belonged to the Ensamble Vocalise Universitario and took singing classes with the Liliana del Conde; participated in the Festival de Música Antigua y Barroca “Los Fundadores” as a member of the choir; studied in the singing workshop of the teacher Liliana del Conde to improve his interpretive quality and vocal technique. He participated as a Listener student in the Gesangs Festival organized by the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí where he was able to learn from internationally renowned teachers such as the soprano Gabriel Herrera, the baritone Carsten Wittmoser and the baritone Falko Hönish, in addition to taking various-master classes with Linus Lerner and Adriano Pinheiro.
