Ana Cernicova (Soprano)

Born: June 24, 1991 - Chisinau, Republic of Moldova

The Moldovan soprano, Ana Cernicova, begun to study music when she was 7, specialized in Musicology at Colegiul de muzica "Stefan Neaga" (Stephan Neaga Music School) (2007-2011); and studied singing at the Academia de Muzica Teatru si Arte Plastice (AMTAP) (Academy of Music, Theater and Arts) of Chisinau with Professor Vladimir Dragosh (Licentiate degree: 2011-2015; Masterat degree: 2015-2017). In June 2017, she was finalist at Grand Prize of Opera of Bucharest and in January of 2016 she was finalists at Concurso Interncional de Canto Tenor Viñas.

Ana Cernicova joined the Teatrul National de Opera si Balet Maria Biesu (National Opera and Ballet Theatre) in Chisinau as a soloist in Septemnber 2015. Her repertoire includes Adina in L’elisir d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti, Gilda in Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi, Liu in Turandot and Musetta of La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart and Antonida in A life for the Tsar by Mihail Glinka.
