Capella Nova Altenberg (Chamber Choir)

Founded: 2002 - Altenberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

The Capella Nova Altenberg is the chamber choir of the Altenberg Cathedral (Dom), which was founded in 2002 by Cathedral organist and choirmaster Rolf Müller. Currently ambitious singers sing music mainly from Renaissance, Baroque and contemporary. Every year, several concerts are planned and performed, where the music is played with orchestras in Baroque performance practice and historical instruments. The focus of the work is in the works of the Baroque and early Classical music, especially compositions which are outside the standard repertoire.
