Flurin Caduff (Bass-Baritone)

Born: Danis, Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland

The Swiss bass-baritone, Flurin Caduff, grew up in Graubünden and studied singing with Armin Caduff, later with Hilde Zadek in Vienna and with Dietmar Grimm in Lucerne. In 2011, he received the Canton of Graubünden’s sponsorship award.

In addition to numerous concerts with the ensemble La Compagnia Rossini, he took part in various opera productions by Haldenstein, Opera St. Moritz, Gartenoper Langenthal and Opera Viva. After guest engagements, the singer was a permanent member of the Luzerner Theater ensemble from 2007 to 2016, where he was seen, among others, as Don Pasquale, Schaunard in La Boheme, Alidoro in in La Cenerentola and Oroveso in Norma. Further guest appearances followed in Lucerne, including as Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia and in a premiere at the Opernhaus Zürich, where the singer also took part in the production Salome by Richard Strauss in the 2021-2022 season.

In addition to opera roles, Flurin Caduff's repertoire also includes oratorios, for example at the KKL Lucerne and the Tonhalle in Zürich he sang the bass parts of Giuseppe Verdi's Messa da Requiem, Gioachino Rossini's Petite messe solenelle and Charles Gounod's Cäcilienmesse.
