Nanora Büttiker (Contralto)

Born: Basel, Switzerland

The Swiss contralto, Nanora Büttiker, took her first singing lessons when she was a teenager. She continued the musical path that she had begun in this way, among other things, at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with lessons from Sharon Weller. After graduating from high school in 2012 with a focus on music, she did a one-year preparatory course at the Musikakademie Basel. From autumn 2013 she studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden and successfully completed this course with her Bachelor's final concert. In 2017 she completed her studies in the Master concert with Professor Christiane Junghanns.

In addition to a lively solo concert activity, Nanora Büttiker's passion is ensemble singing. she is a permanent member of the Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann), Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius) and Chor der J.S. Bach-Stiftung St. Gallen (Director: Rudolf Lutz). Her interest in the interpretation of contemporary vocal music is reflected in her collaboration with the vocal ensemble AuditivVokal Dresden (Director: Olaf Katzer).

In winter 2016, Nanora Büttiker made her successful debut as Tisbe in Rossini's La Cenerentola at the Landesbühnen Sachsen and in 2018 she was able to record her first CD with Rudolf Mauersberger's Geistliche Sommermusik under the direction of Ekkehard Klemm.
