Benjamin Bird (Tenor)

Born: 1988 - Palmdale, California, USA

The American tenor, Benjamin M. Bird, obtained his Master of Music degree in Voice from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he appeared in The Barber of Seville (Almaviva), Manon (des Grieux), The Elixir of Love (Nemorino), Die Fledermaus (Alfred), and The Pirates of Penzance (Frederick). He is a third- year doctoral student at Indiana University Bloomington's Jacobs School of Music, studying with Peter Volpe.

Benjamin Bird has also performed with Utah Vocal Arts Academy in its productions of W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni (Don Ottavio) and W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (Don Basilio/Don Curzio). He was a featured soloist with Brevitas Choir on its 2016 album, "Nowell Sing We". In July 2019 he sang one of the title roles in Paulus' The Three Hermits with Indiana University Summer Chorus. He has appeared in Indiana University Jacobs Opera Theater productions of Ariadne auf Naxos (Tanzmeister/Brighella), Francis Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites (L’Aumonier), and George Frideric Handel's Giulio Cesare (Nireno) and W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (September 2020). He also particpated in Bloomington Bach Cantata Project (April 2021).
