Javier Barea (Baritone)

Born: February 7, 1998 - Jerez de la Frontera, Andalucia, Spain.

The Spanish baritone, Javier Barea Nuño, began to live his first experiences in singing at the hands of Ronald Frezzo, at Richard Montgomery High School, Maryland (USA) in 2014. A year later, she returned to Jerez de la Frontera, her hometown, and began a new stage as a member of the Coro del Teatro Villamarta. He began studying lyrical singing together with Emelina López, Joan Cabero and Fran Crespo.

In 2016 Javier Barea joined the Coro Joven de Andalucía and from 2017 he became a member of the A Coro de A.A. del Teatro de la Maestranza. That same year he made his debut as solo baritone in the project "¡Hagamos una Ópera!: Gilgamesh". As of the end of 2018, he moved to Sevilla to carry out his higher studies in singing at the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Manuel Castillo" de Sevilla, where he currently works with Rosa Mª de Alba and Cristina Bayón. In 2020 he was awarded a scholarship by the Berlin Opera Academy to debut the role of Papageno in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (June-July 2020). He has attended master-classes with professionals such as Francesca Roig, Carlos Daza, John Osborn, Pierangelo Pelucchi, Dominic Barbieri and Mark Sampson among others.
