Jonas Atwood (Tenor)

Born: Basel, Switzerland

The Swiss bass, Jonas Atwood, started his studies at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Scot Weir in 2013. In summer 2021, he completed his Master of Music degree in Opera Singing with distinction at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig, where he studied with with Kammersänger Professor Roland Schubert.

Jonas Atwood has been a permanent member of the Landesbühnen Sachsen since August 2020. Singing in ensembles is particularly close to his heart.He is member of Chor der J.S. Bach-Stiftung St. Gallen (Director: Rudolf Lutz). He currently lives in Leipzig, Germany.
